Flamenco Garcí­a “The Reunion”

June and July 2008 will see a series of concerts in Ireland by the renowned Flamenco guitarist, Francisco Garcí­a. Touring with Garcí­a will be singer José Parra, guitarists Salvador Andrades and José Manuel León, bassist Martin Leiton and Lucas González on cajón.

Already confirmed is a concert on June 18th in Dublin’s National Concert Hall. Tickets are on sale, this is an event not to be missed!

Sólo Flamenco open the Out to Lunch Festival

Sólo Flamenco kicked off 2008 by opening the Out To Lunch 2008 Festival in Belfast on Friday, 4th January.

Robert McMillen, the Irish Language Editor of the Irish News, interviewed Sólo Flamenco prior to the event to discuss their participation.

After their performance at the Black Box, Sólo Flamenco were interviewed for the BBC RADIO ULSTER programme Sounds Classical on 92-95FM, and were asked to say a few words about the history and culture of Flamenco.

Taster Class at DanceHouse

Sólo Flamenco are pleased to announce that we will begin our term of classes in DanceHouse with a free taster class on Thursday 10th January, from 7pm to 8pm.

This class is part of Celebration Week, organised by DanceHouse to commemorate their first year serving the dance community in Dublin. Full details of the events are on the DanceHouse website.

We invite you to come and join with us for an hour. Perhaps you’ll find a new passion to kick off 2008.
